Chablis vineyard tour, includes lunch and tasting in
our cellars in Beaune.
Discover the delights of Chablis and lunch at the
charming Moulin de Vaudon
Join us to discover the
beautiful vineyards of Chablis and learn how this once forgotten area is
enjoying renewed acclaim. The wines of Chablis are unlike the Chardonnays from
more southern areas in Burgundy due to their unique location and terroir.
After a tour of our historical cellars in Beaune, we will depart late morning for Chablis where we will have lunch in a typical Burgundy restaurant.
Following lunch, we will visit the
Premier Cru parcels, and then the Grand Crus, each situated on different sides
of the river Serein. We will taste a glass of Grand Cru from our parcel 'Les
Clos' whilst overlooking the parcel, and learn about Robert Drouhin's passion for
Chablis and how he was instrumental in the revival of this wine region.
The vineyard tour will
be followed by a tasting in the grounds of the stunning 18th
century Moulin de Vaudon; a former water mill now owned by the Drouhin family.
We will taste a selection of wines from our Chablis domaine; including our Grand Crus, and you could take a stroll in the enchanting grounds.
In the afternoon, we
will return to Beaune and the historical cellar of the Drouhin family where you
will enjoy a final glass of wine together. A fitting end
to a wonderful day.
